I heard Kylie's version of Santa Baby today and thought...big mistake, you should've left it with Eartha Kitt.

Westlife...they've slaughtered so many great songs. Their version of The Rose by Bette Midler was painful.

I think if you're going to cover a song you should make it different and do something creative...like the Scissor Sisters did with Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb...there's no point just copying the original... like how Atomic Kitten tried to do exactly the same version of Eternal Flame as the original by Bangles.

Faith Hill's cover of Janis Joplin's "Piece of my Heart". I don't mind Faith Hill, but she sucked all of the soul right out of that song. I still haven't forgiven her.

Tim McGraw - Tiny Dancer (Elton John)
Faith Hill - Piece Of My Heart (Janis Joplin)
Henry Childs - Peace Love and Understanding (Elvis Costello)
Huey Lewis - Some Kind Of Wonderful (Grand Funk)
Jack Ingram - Lips Of An Angel (Hinder)

And the absolute ripoff by:
Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's Chokehold (Supertramp - Breakfast In America)

I hate, hate, hate Limp Bizkit's cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" as well as Madonna's cover of Don McLean's "American Pie". Britney Spears' version of The Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction" and Hillary Duff's version of The Who's "My Generation" also make me cringe.
