Fan the paper before loading it.

Also ensure the paper is stored in the room for as long as possible before using it.

Clean the pinch rollers with a little alcohol rub helps as well (a degreasent)

Try giving your printer a service. Go to the HP web site and look up what they suggest. I have had a very solid HP printer myself, but they need looking at from time to time. Chances are that there is a little bit of paper stuck somewhere in the works. Clean it!

normally if you PULL the paper out that doesn't help.. so many do that.. it's probably very small bits of papers internally..

basically the printer needs to be taken apart and cleaned properly.

I've picked up 2 printers that were chucked out. 30 minutes later after removing the paper jam.. they were fine..

Damp or poor quality paper?
Or a tiny piece of paper still stuck in the printer?

Its probibly the pickup rollers. Look above the paper tray and you will see rollers. Clean them with Alcohol and it will bring the tac back. This should fix the problem until you can replace the pickup rollers.

always keep your paper in the packet - never be tempted to rip the packet open - the packet is specially coated inside. Also always fan both sides and ends.
