OK, my ISP is Qwest, and I am building a Vista machine. When we moved here we were asked what OSs we were using, and told when we add Vista we will need to call them so they can send us new software in order for the Vista machine to be seen on the network and see the other computers as well.

Now, if you already have Vista machines on the network, you may need to check out the systems network configurations, see if there are any misconfigurations. Your best first step is contacting the technical department of your ISP. If they can't help, if it is not an issue with them, here is some information which may help you locate the issue:

Good luck and I hope you get it worked out right away.

I completely accept as true with Justin on the VISTA concern. additionally he brings up a competent component on the drivers and is the WIFI turn on. yet another element and it is basically making particular that no errors have been made with WEP or AES risk-free practices. confirm it is typed in wisely and additionally basically confirm you haven't any longer have been given MAC handle filtering working because it is going to look on the MAC handle of the gadget and if it fits the MAC handle it is being blocked you will no longer have the capacity to get right of entry to internet until it is bumped off. basically a concept to attempt to help you
