I am thinking about becoming a runescape member and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you get any free items when you join and if its worth the 5 dollars a month. Thanks!

There is no free items you get your self.maybe if you get a friend who is already a member and they can lend you the basic starting members supplies.If not ,they you gotta find your own.
before you become a member you MUST know these things.Just don't become one till you master these.
Can I maneuver/Explore in large areas of space and not get lost?
Am I familiar with the non members land and can recite all towns and city's. I can watch
BarBar Village
Lumbrige
Falador
Goblin Village
Varock
Al-Kahrid
Also it is very worth the 5$,but it depends how much you play.
So for me its an average of 130-180 Hours per month.YES I PLAY ALLOT!But I am not become a member because I want my skills a Little higher.
Make sure ALL your non combat Related Skills in Free members are all 40-50 so you have some options,and rune-crafting at 20.E-Mail me if you have any questions or concerns.

You do not get free items for becoming a member but you do get to buy and use member items and go to member areas and of course there are alot more quests.
It's worth $5 a month if you play alot, cheaper than going to the movie theater.

Its definently worth the $5 a month. You don't get any free items for changing over from F2P but you do get new skills , abilities, quests & a lot more of the world to go to. Not to mention the members worlds are continually updated with new quests, items & things to do that the freeworlds aren't.

no free items but its deff worth it so much more land to explore so many more people to meet so many more quests to beat so much more armor to work for so many more skills to help you earn money! omg was that a serious question? its soo worth it lol

with me it is so worth it to pay 5$ a mounth but.... people always try to hack you so thats why i quit playing
