I sleep alone and hate it every night. I don't sleep well, toss and turn, wake up early and can't go back to sleep. There are several reasons for all of these happenings I know, stress, active mind that won't shut down, etc. But I think it's because I don't have the woman I love beside me to cuddle with once in a while.
I have married and divorced twice. The first was for 32 years and the second lasted 2 years. Don't need to go into those stories here, but I have now been "single" for nearly 2 years. I have found a lady whom I totally love and adore. We have great sex once in a while, but she will not stay the night nor allow me to stay the night at her place (she lives with her mother to help care for her) and is afraid we will make too much noise.
So every night I am alone in bed wishing she were with me and I miss her. By the way we have been together for 9 months now.

It's not uncommon for a child of 11 to be afraid, especially at night. Talking through her fears with her would be very helpful, especially if you can help her rationally realize that she is safe. Also, some fears may be valid (e.g. a fear of fire at night) and you can make a safety plan with her. Leave a piece of yourself behind in her room (a family photo, perhaps?) and allow her to ask for you. Go to her and reassure her, but be sure she stays in her room. The more she does stay in her room, the more confidence she will have in herself and her safety. Sometimes kids just worry excessively at night about daytime issues. Give her a box, a pad of paper, and a pen. Tell her when worries pop into her head, she can write them down and put them in the box. That way, if she needs them in the morning, she can think about them again. Some kids do well with a pet as a nighttime companion. The pets can keep them company and also help children gain confidence because they are responsible for someone else.

Hi, when i was married i hated sharing a bed with my husband as he snored and went to bed without having a wash, his feet stunk, he pulled the covers off me all night long and unintentionally kicked me out of bed. Who would want to sleep with someone like that, huh? Now i am alone and love having the bed to myself. I don't know if i will ever want to go back to sharing my bed with someone again after my previous bad experience. I know in these cold winter nights it would be nice to snuggle up with someone. Is that why children take teddie bears to bed with them? As for sex....i can live without it. It actually isn't that much of a big deal. But if i did want it, i would make the first move.

Merry christmas, honey x

Hunny, sometimes I sleep alone, my husband snores when he is very tried, that means I get no sleep. So now that we live in a bigger home, I have my extra room I sleep in when he get loud. But I usually sleep with him and make the first move, a sexual relationship is fun and enjoyable...

I am married, at this point in time I am sleeping alone. Not by choice( husband is deployed). When he is home we always sleep together. It is the only way we sleep really good.

I sleep alone, but I don't like to. The only reason I do is because I have no other choice.
