Special Miracles
Written by Semper Fi Reborn

This baby is different,
He doesn't speak words.
But his expressions,
And his eyes are surely heard.

His world is wrapped,
Within silence.
Yet his laughter,
Has the sound of a beautiful violin.

You and I would surely crumble,
Under the weight,
Of the things he endures,
Day to day.
We'd say it's fate.

Yet to me he is a blessing,
Sent from Heaven in a wheelchair.
His vision's impaired,
But his views of life are very clear.

And there is still,
His joyful laughter.
Like a sermon from a pastor.
I feel like my student,
Is the master.
The teacher,
Like I'm an amateur in his profession.
He's a special miracle.
And I've been taught a lesson.

You know,I am 34 years old,and this is one of a few times I have been speechless, touched, and most of all honored.Your gift of words is impeccable! This is what people need,to see that something as simple as a child's innocence will prove triumphant over even the most difficult of adversities. Take care,God bless, and goodnight my friend.

It's a beautiful poem for an obviously beautiful person. I'm going to send a copy to my daughter who is a junior majoring in special education. I think it's something that she will enjoy and keep close by when she gets her own class.. Thanks so much for sharing.
