Ask an attorney and do not seek legal advice from anyone else.

Merry Christmas

That would depend on what was dictated in the divorce decree. Most couples have to sell the house, because the spouse is entitled to half. Some couples are nicer, and will allow the other party to retain possession of the property, under certain circumstances.

Take a look at your divorce papers. Everything is right there. If it says that you'd have to sell the house, you can speak with your attorney to see if there is any way another agreement can be reached, since she is remarried. It's worth a shot anyway.

i very much doubt it as when she re-marries her new husband is responsible for looking after her,but you realy should go back to the solicitor that looked after you,and find out if anything was decided about the family home when the divorce became final, you would be amazed at what we sign, and aggree to and in time forget about it,so thats your first stop, tell them the situation has changed, and how can it effect you,ive got a feeling you may find that her re-marrying may just be to your advantage, but please check it out,for i know your wife either has or will.good luck mate, and happy christmas.

First of all this house belongs to you and your wife and if she wants you to sell it so that she can get her share of the home.
You both bought this house when you were married yes you will have to sell it or buy her out. Its still part of her house to.

best of luck

I don't see how she can now as obviously your divorce is settled if she has remarried. If house is still in joint names get yourself to a solicitor and get the title deeds changed into your name only.

Sorry, but that' funny, where were you during the divorce proceedings?

You should talk to your lawyers, since this must have been part of the agreement you signed upon finalization of divorce.

No, but if she is owed money from her portion of the home, she can make you pay it off if you don't want to sell it.. Her getting remaried has nothing to do with it.

it depends on what was in the divorce papers. If it was written that you had to to give her half, then yes, you still have too.
