the US constitution, of course.
there has been no "invasion" of america. there has, however, been unjustified invasions of iraq and afghanistan. 911 happened, and it was a terrible thing. but until there are iraqi and afghani soldiers storming US cities...the Patriot Act is bullshit and the constitution clearly makes it illegal.

The obvious answer is that nothing trumps the US Constitution. Certain amendments can be made, but it is the supreme law of the land.

Provisions of the Patriot Act will expire. That is why the Bush administration is getting frustrated.

The American public and the lawmakers will now be able to create laws with hindsight and without the pressure of 9-11 that stays true to the Constitution..

The United States Supreme Court Justices will be the final determiner unless the legislative branch can come up with a better legislation that meets the interpretation of the Constitution.

Tommy is right. The Constitution should trump all, but the patriot act was written specifically to suspend the rights granted in the Constitution under the guise of "public safety."

And Americans blindly bought it hook, line, and sinker, to be "patriotic."

Call it what it REALLY is; the American "Enabling Act."

Tommy is right on this one.. The patriot act is a bridge over the constitution built by deception and greed.

The patriot act unconstitutionally trumps the Constitution. The US govt will forever take away our rights right in front of our eyes.
