I'm truely shocked. The fact that she knows she's a role model to a lot of kids should have given her some type of self-control. If I starred on a kids TV show I certainly wouldn't have sex at 16! I guess, just like her sister, she didn't mind the fact that she's a role model. Her parents clearly don't care much about what their daughters are doing.
That's why I like Miley Cyrus. She's much more grounded, and even though she's only 14, she doesn't mess around like that. She KNOWS she's a role model, and that helps her stay on the right track. And the fact that her parents are breathing down her neck. I'm not saying thats a bad thing though, in this situation it's a good thing to have really protective parents. But Miley seems to know how to do the right thing, whereas Jamie does not.

Let me say this right now: If someone you love who's a teenager (or younger) thinks it's OK to get pregnant simply because someone on TV did, THAT'S A YOU PROBLEM. Sit them down and straighten them out immediately. If your kids need to look to television for a role model, it means the ones in their life aren't getting the job done.
As for JLS herself... I'm not going to judge her any more harshly than anyone else. She's young, she fell in love, she had sex, she got pregnant -- it happens. It's certainly not a good thing, but it happens. It doesn't make her a horrible person, or trash, or a sl*t, or any of the other buzzwords being thrown around. (although if she's still sleeping around after the kid's born, I'll certainly change my mind.) If she wasn't Britney's kid sister, and Britney hadn't become Creature From the Black Lagoon, people wouldn't be so tough on her.
Now, I'm not going to lose sleep over this, either. She's a celebrity, she's got money, and plenty of resources. This could have been avoided in a number of ways. This is her bed, and she's got to sleep in it. But let's not crucify a 16-year-old girl who's life as she knows it just basically ended. I wish her the best in these troubling times.

And I just read that their mom, Lynne Spears' book about parenting has been delayed indefinitely!
What a bunch of losers. The whole family is dysfunctional.

Her sister and she is the worst role models ever to hit little kids in children channels. My sister is ten and she watches disney channel everyday. Her daily routine after school is to get a newspaper to read the headlines and practice english. She got so excited when she read that she got pregnant, she told me this morning that can she get pregnant because she saw Jamie get pregnant and that it was a trend that everyone is doing. I freak out man, it was the most arkward moment of my life, and nice role models. Spears family.

I think that it's shameful because Jamie was a Postive Role Model for young girls and now she's just like her sister! I guess it just runs in the family!! There goes another Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton celebs who don't think before they act!!! And Plus the father is 19 years old!!!!! It's sad!!

Shes a slllut. First of all she is only 16 and her bf is already 19! And her parents dont even care. Honestly, i heard a lot of bad thing bout her but this was th worst. Plus a lot of kids liked her because of that show umm oh yeh Zoey 101 and now who will they look up to. It was very dumb of her to do this. Plus her parents dont seem to care! Well i guess its not their fault. Anyone who gives birth to Britney Spears must have problems that nobody could understand. oh well! Its not my problem and thank god! Yahoo

I think she is just another 16 year old that is not married and pregnant. Shes not perfect and neither are any of you. So many teens are pregnant that it doesn't even matter.
One thing that is stupid is that her sister told her to take the pill but she said it would make her fat but no shes pregnant and that makes her fat too.
