What should I do if I share a computer and I find child pornography has been viewed?

Child porn is a federal offense, so any police. Or you could Google something on the internet to report it.

I am so sorry you are experiancing such a delemma. You absolutely have to report this activity, not only to protect the innocent, but yourself as well. This individual has placed you in a very difficult situaton. It is a shared computer, which basically means you have access to those photos too, which means if you do NOT take action, and somebody else runs across this, you could be in as much trouble as the real guilty individual, and what happens if s/he says it isn't her/his, but really your's?

I too feely really sad for you, especially at this time of year, and if this is a family member or really close friend. Please understand that we can never really truly know anyone. Think of all the wives who lived with serial killers or rapists, for years without any suspicion, and then one day they come home and find their home ransacked, their children in foster care, their husbands in jail, and they are treated like criminals themselves, because nobody really believes they were that guileless.

I won't go on at length here, but will underscore the danger you are in, the hard place this person has placed you in, and the filth that s/he is doing to children. Because IF people like this did NOT view such garbage, children like those in the photos would not have their innsence ripped away, or be physically and phschologically abused. Without people to view such horror, there would be no need for such horror. So, the person sharing your computer is abusing children, and allowing children to be mistreated the most heinous manner. Children who will never get their innosence back, who's lives are ruined forever, and who may turn to drugs for comfort in their hopeless lives. The damage is immense, and the parents, God bless and comfort them too as they watch their children destroyed before they ever have a chance to live.

I hope you do the right thing, and protect yourself as well. If you turn a blind eye, you become mired in this filth right along side of the person sharing your computer.

I feel really sad for you, but sadder for those children and their families.

Call the police. Only right thing to do. If you know there is child porn on this PC and you dont report you are just as bad as the person viewing it,Please report it and end the victimazation of the innocent children

I would report it as child porn is illegal. Who ever viewed it needs to get help.

You need to take care of this(meaning involve the authorities) as you could be charged as well. possession of this sort of material is very illegal.
