It seems that it is just another way to get personal data to spam because they always ask pretty personal stuff including income, age, level of education etc.

No...I don't think it's worth it. If it's a small appliance that didn't cost much, then I don't send it in. I agree...it's another marketing tool...and I don't fall for it either.

only fill it all in if you want to recieve phone calls during the evening offering you double glazing loft insulation and other such wonderful things you already have

Not in my opinion, they just want to know what to try to sell you next, you know, what do you plan to buy in the next year etc...

i dont but i do keep the reciept+wareenty incase, i need it,depends on the product and cost.cheers :)
