Would you just settle for a 'lame duck' for christmas ?

huh!

I can't really afford a whole turkey this year... and I WAS thinking of getting a gressingham duck from Sainsbury.... you've put me off now :-(
I shall try to get rid of the 'lame duck' tag, I feel sory for it!

What else could we have (there's just gonna be the two of us)

I've got family who CAN afford one-otherwise it's whatever's in the kitchen-nothing is open except maybe Denny's & I'm 86'ed from the ones close home.....

i ordered my free range organic turkey back in October from the farmers market - she rang me yesterday to say how big my bird had got!

So I pick it up monday morning - yummy!(well It will be after I have cooked the big bugg*r - it is 17lbs!
