the shot speed was kinda cool.
i miss the goal judge and good refs. i also miss having a competent commissioner.
i miss the "home whites" and alternate jerseys. i miss cheap concession stand beers and sold out arenas. i miss wooden sticks and bob probert. i miss the days of standup goalies whose pads were actually their size. i miss the days when the league had 20 or so teams and were actually full of talent.
i miss old time hockey!

I miss the cooper sk2000 helmet. The one with the huge plastic sides like Joel Otto and other monsters used to wear. They looked like something that should be on the top of a transformer.
Can you imagine what Gretz would have looked like in one of those buckets? Like a first year peewee probably.
I also miss mega micron skates and Flak gloves, I remember loving those as a kid.
*******Petr Klimas Jofa has to go down as the worst looking helmet ever created. Good call, forgot about that one. That helmet might as well have come with a "Hello, I am Euro-Trash" sticker on the back of it.

I miss the third jerseys the Kings used to wear (when the program first began in 1996). Those uniforms featured the king's head on front. I also miss the Ducks' first alternates as well as the Lightning alternates that had the thunderstorm on the front.

Stationary Goalie Nets. Too many injuries.
7 man hockey - can you imagine how plugged up the ice would be now!
Two minute penalties - continues even if goal is scored - bring this back it would bring more scoring into the game.
Coincidental minors - 4 on 4 hockey would be great again - it would bring more scoring to the game.

I remember thinking as a kid that that was pretty cool in a psychedelic sort of way. But as I got older, the novelty wore off and it was just annoying.
Zam, are you talking about the goalie cam? I remember that about ten years ago. That was an alright idea.
