It depends on the school. Finance graduates from MIT, Wharton or Berkeley start at six figure salaries -- or close to it. Finance majors at unranked schools can expect to make considerably less -- but more than liberal arts majors from the same school.

with a job in accounting, $40-60k/year
with a job as a financial advisor $20-200k/year
job in finance department $40-80k/year
a degree doesnt get you anything, especially if you dont use it
