postage stamps?

I want to mail a letter from New York to Tennessee.
The letter weighs no more than 3 ounces, how many first class stamps do i need to put onto it?

1 ounce is 41 cents. For 3 ounces, it is 75 cents. You can calculate postage here: http://postcalc.usps.gov/default.aspx

If you just have regular stamps, 2 stamps will do as they total 82 cents.

you will need to put 3 stamps on it.
