try some Go Jo hand cleaner, you can buy it at most auto parts stores or any store that sells automotive products,
I'd try it in a inconspicuous place first so you don't ruin it any further if it doesn't work, and you do find a cleaner that works better .

Try Woolite cold water wash just put them in a bucket with this and enough water to cover clothes. Mix A Little stronger than bottle says too and agitate buy hand and rub troubled areas and let sit several hours .Then rinse and wash in washer buy themselves with dawn dish washing soap.If that does not work donate them.

I agree with the Dawn dish soap - with water as hot as the fabric will allow.
