I was just wondering - my house stays messy - I just signed up with flylady - seems great - but am I the only messy person in the world?

Not long ago my mother-inlaw commented to a group of our friends that she wished she could have tossed house work to be a better mom like me - followed up with - a little side comment about my messy house - I was quite embarrassed! That is the reason I was asking Thanks~!

my house always seems messy - even when i thoroughly clean it - it still has messy bits.

I love Flylady! I'm not a spotless housekeeper, but their email reminders are a great boost for doing chores in short time so you can race back to the things you really enjoy doing.
I also have a book called Speed Cleaning and here's their website:

I've used some of the products also and I recommend them. Even though they seem a bit pricey, they are kid, pet and environment friendly and do not tend to give me a headache like other cleaners do.

No, most people do not keep their house spotless all the time, but there is away to make it look like it is spotless clean all the time, so you don,t feel you are the only messy person in the world.

i was wondering the same thing. when i go to friend's houses, and they have little kids, the floor it is so clean, you can lick of off it. i envy them. no one tells me, how they do it, or if it is always like that. i think they just work overtime the day before, because think about this: after you wash your hands, water is splashed on the sink, on the handle, on the mirror- maybe. there is no way you will wipe that down every time, you or your kids wash their hands. Not to talk about the husband...

i simply am stuck to the idea that before they invite someone at the house, everyone is in cleaning mode.

Usually my house is always cluttered - not so much "dirty". I give it a general "wipe down" at least once a week (dusting, vacuuming, uncluttering, etc.) and then a really good clean about once a month - getting behind furniture, celing fan, hanging lights, top of bookcases, etc.) I find my energy is best used living my life & enjoying my kids/grandkids & not being so OCD with the clutter!

Not mine - I have a 4 year old son and it's tough to keep up.
It's clean - but messy. I believe in a house that is lived in, not looked at.
People who keep completely perfect houses, scare me....I don't know what they are hiding.

I have a cleaning service and clean homes for people....however mine isn't picture perfect but it's not a disaster either. But I suppose there are some people with spotless houses...those that I clean for. lol

No way, I'm a total slob. I work two jobs, so my place stays messy until my day off on Sunday.

We keep our house spotless I would say 90% of the time. However, we dont have children and I am OCD.

Oh mother-in-laws, please be nice! It is impossible to have a spotless house unless you have live in help. I don't and mine is a mess with all the holiday preparations. Well the truth is it is always a mess.
