Very much so. I use valium, nitrous oxide, listen to music, need a blankey and have a stress squeeze toy all at the same time and I still have panic attacks. I finally found a dentist I can trust and then i moved outta state. I need some dental work done, don't have insurance and my back tooth hurts and is sensative. I don't trust the quacks here in utah and will probably take a day off, buy a plane ticket and fly to California just to have my tooth fixed.

My dentist is'nt scary. I'm only scared of the bill for seeing him. Jeez, i pay £10 a month on this 'plan' and he still justifies charging £70 for a cap which has fallen off my front tooth 3 times in the last year. Barsteward

Not really because he was my aunt, uncle, and mom's dentist. But then there was the time when he had to pull out two of my front teeth because they did not plan to come out soon. Maybe I have to get braces now.

i have to have the date rape drug as i am so scared..i am claustraphobic and so i can't even bear him leaning over me. i have to go to hospital rather than a dental surgery as i practically have a heart attack just opening my mouth....The Dentist said my fear is more for the breathing thing than pain and suffering...ohhh i hate dentists but i do have nice teeth. thank goodness.

Yes. He asked me why I was so nervous and I said "everyone is afraid of the dentist." He said "no, that's not true." I asked "are you married?" He said "No." I said "well maybe you should start telling women you're a veterinarian."

Yes, he is always telling me how good I look and suggests that I wear this mask that blows air into my nostrils. And for some reason I wake up not remembering that I even dosed off to sleep.
