Yes!! Some people are so greedy and horrible, psychopaths, cruel and just awful to be around. Animals, too, can be like that, but they, unlike the human, do not choose their nature. If animals were ever anything like a human, they have been mistreated to an extreme.

Depends on the animal and the person or people involved. In general it still depends on the animal. Some animals are just surly and would like nothing better than to take out their aggression on soft meat while others are the sweetest most innocent creatures on earth.

Then again, animals don't usually lie, cheat, or kill for no good reason. They do what is in their nature to do and are pretty much predictable in that each species has a certain set of behavior patterns they adhere to pretty rigidly. With human beings you never know what you're going to get. Even tame and seemingly kind people can end up liars, cheaters, thieves and murderers. Animals are just animals....for better or worse.

I guess on that score, animals are better. Less destructive and more predicatable within certain contexts.

BTW, to those who called this asker names, even though people ARE animals (and mammels), that doesn't mean there isn't a vast difference between every other creature on earth and human beings. Any intelligent person can see that the asker of this question already knows that and didn't need to have some fool calling names. The name calling was needless and cruel.

Humans in general are no better than animals... we ARE animals. Religion coupled with humans' advanced communication skills seems to create an idea that we are better than other animals... were not. We are just the same. I DO think the depravity of humans shows that quite clearly. But it goes beyond violent criminals and abusers. What about the person manipulating everyone? What about the greedy corporation owners, a group of less than 5% of the population who holds something like 70-80% of all funds and assets? We may have advanced communication skills that have allowed us to develop a society that we perceive to be better, more important and above other animals... But all it is, is an illusion.

Wow! I can't believe people think they're animals!

People taste much better than animals!
They go well with ''some fava beans and a nice chianti.''
That's what I've heard anyway.

But animals have much nicer social skills. So I don't know if they're way better than people, maybe just a little more honest.

Well, people can reason, and animals cant. One of the few things that sets us apart.

Plus, I have never answered the door to a TV repair orangutan, or been sold a car by a sales-shark......actually, now I think about it, maybe I have, lmao!

Ok, animals win! ;-)

people are animals. and we are cunning enough to be shady. shady animals make me nervous. i trust a lot of other animals a lot more, because i'm 'onto them'. not so much with ppl.

and i do put 'trust' pretty high on my list. thats all i'm saying.

oh except.. humans are the most invasive and earthchanging animals there are. even more so than locusts. wouldn't you think?

but ppl have their good points too. i like ppl.
i just wished we all liked each other more.

Disagree! I dont care for domesticated animals. Wild animals are interesting enough I guess. They do however make great hamburgers and pot roasts! I would totally rather have a person in my bed than a dog or a cat.
