I'm living with my partner and I just filed for child support to get the medical benifits that I could not afford then.

If you are receiving them, go back to Children's services and ask that the case be closed

If you are paying them; hhahahhahahahahahahahahahahahah

Why in the world would you want to cancel them? You would be taking food out of your child's mouth! If you don't need them, then put the money into an interest building account for their college tuition.

If you are the guy who pays then I suggest you go to the local family courthouse and ask them......I would pay to see the look on their face.

*edit:
You can go back to the court house that originally ordered the support and tell them you have a change in living arrangements. You will probably get assigned a hearing and have to appear before the judge. There shouldn't be any problem getting it dropped.

Sorry for being smart....lol, I thought you were a deadbeat trying to weasel out of your responsibility!!

You can't. Child Support payments are set by the court, if you want them changed or canceled you have to go back to court to do so!

Basic answer is "Tell it to the judge". You cannot cancel payments that are court ordered without going back to court. I am assuming the payments are against the "partner" you are living with and if so, you are, attempting, to make a big mistake.

If you are living with the child's parent and if they ARE paying living expenses for the child and you filed for child support while they are living there- you may have to pay back all that child support you lied to get
