Try some over the counter cortisone. It can help soothe the area and relieve the irritation. Over the counter cortisones used in that ares are OK for 2-3 days.

No! Don't exfoliate! That will irritate it more! Use aloe lotion or gel (the gel is better) to sooth and moisturize the area. It will also work to heal. You can find it at any drugstore. In the future, always shave WITH the grain (so to speak) to avoid razor burn.

Sounds like a classic case of razor burn. You will just have to ride it out but it should be gone within 3 days. Next time, be sure to use plenty of shaving cream or soap to avoid THE BURN!!!!

It's razor burn! A cold/cool compress will close the pores and make you feel better. In three days it'll be fine. If you have some non scented type of lotion that will help too.

I always use: the tube reads:100% aloe vera gel -containing No alcohol, pure no color added. Fragrance-free (I have sensitive skin) *moisturizing therapy for sunburn, dry irritated skin =rash. cools rashes and burns down. For external use only safe for bikini area and will cool the ichy rash down. Take care.

Put a hot rag over the area then rub in some baby oil. You should do this before you shave too.
