The best gift to give someone is not how much it cost but how much care and love went in to it. I have a friend that has just about everything, so what I did was made a music CD from different artist and that made him very happy.

If you've got the skills, hand-sewn or knitted baby clothes are always a nice gift. Or even a gift-certificate for a free evening of baby-sitting!

Get a silverplate baby picture frame that has room to have the baby's name and date of birth on it or something else similar for a keepsake. Something else is a personalize note from you saying it is good for one night out for the two of them while you watch the baby.

a list of tips on how to keep the baby happy without the money
or if you lack the mothering experience, just think of simple things that a billionare who has so many options might overlook, such as a stuffed cow (or teddy bear...i just used to have this little stuffed cow that was really fun when i was younger), or a simple blanket.

A Tree ornament with baby's name & birth date, or some other kind of keep sake thing like a little trinket box that you can engrave something on.

I tihnk sticking with a teddybear would be good. The baby is 6 months old by now so it should like a stuffed animal, and a teddybear it could have forever.

of the child is very wealthy, chances are the parents overlooked some of the "obvious" toy choices. most likely as well, they are the type of parents who will shower their child with educational gifts. this isnt a BAD thing, but most of the time they overlook sentimental-value toys like a soft doll, or teddy bear, or comfy blanket. get the baby something it will like.
the parents will be greatful. :]
