This happened to me once, and it kind of freaked me out as I'd assumed it was just an urban legend.

I've seen boiling water thrown from a cup freeze into ice droplets before it hits the ground, if it's cold enough pretty much anything will freeze.
When I first climbed on ice and snow years ago I was taught an old polar exploration adage for guaging temperature, I've never had to use it because I've never been anywhere cold enough and I think that's fortunate because I also don't have the anatomy for it.
It works like this.....
At 40 below your piss freezes as it hits the ground....
At 50 below it freezes on the way down.....
At 60 below you go outside to piss and your dick falls off......

It is an Urban Legend. If it was cold and windy enough for it to happen any exposed skin would succumb to frost bite.

ya i was mountaineering in a pretty strong wind, when i spit it came back and hit me. It froze on me and never hit the ground

It's gross to spit on the ground anyway. That is passing along germs, viruses and who knows what all. It is unsanitary. And yes, I know, it's a guy thing. :-)
