Othello, Backgammon then Monopoly the old old old version -- Wait! does Yahtzee count as a board game? used to play that for hours and hours with my grandma... if it counts then I guess that would be my all time favorite

Chess is personally my favorite game of all time.
Checkers is also fun, as is Reversi. All are games that don't rely on luck so much as skill and the ability to calculate ahead.
