I am pre med and I made C in some of my pre med classes. If I retook the classes that I made a C in an attempt to make an A this time would med schools care and count those in my pre med gpa?

Visit studentdoctor.net, this question is asked ALL the time. And the pre-meds and med school students can tell you about how many they had and what they did.

It really would depend on your GPA. One or two Cs is fine, and even common in medical school admissions. But if there are more than 2 Cs, generally I would suggest to retake the classes. Also, do not take a class unless you know for sure your grade will improve.

As far as GPA is concerned, med schools will count both your old and new grades into your "AMCAS" GPA, regardless of your school policies.

Yes, they would. Getting lots of Cs in pre-med classes doesn't look good, so retaking would be a good option.

3.7 on averge if you want to get into med school. If you think you can't make it, change your major into nursing, which is a profession much more suitable for a young beautiful lady like you.

if its one or two classes i wouldnt worry about it. if you have more than 2 C than i would consider taking some again, partly to dilute your bad grades and if they are foundation classes like organic or something like that i would take it again so i can learn everything better and have an easier time in biochemistry or some other hard class like that.

Yes. You can retake a class as long as you haven't graduated yet.

It depends, if you have tons of C's, those can ruin your science GPA I would take some of them if you have the time and strength. If you have a few, you can always take alternative science courses to raise your GPA or other non science courses that are fun. Sometimes, it's a waste of time (especially if you have a C in one course, and then get an A and it brings it up to a B, won't really help too much)
