I know it's spelled with the letter C, the letter U, and the letter M but it won't let me type that, of course.

usually its your overall, both gen ed and major grades but it varies from school to school

Overall GPA is used to determine these levels of honors at graduation.

at my school if you make an average of a 3.75 over your last 66 hours of work and have an overall GPA of at least a 3.25 you should be able to graduate with honors.

at TTU for anthro major it was overall GPA. the only time the major GPA mattered was to join the Honors Anthro club.. which was no sweat by the way b/c i'm a genius!!!

They will use your cumulative GPA for academic honors (CL, SCL, MCL) and your major GPA for departmental honors ("with honors in Literature").

Some colleges use your collegiate cumulative GPA (all colleges you've attended) while others only use your institutional GPA.
