Less than 24 hours later she ran back to him when he was bailed out (by someone else). She had packed a car full of stuff, and the baby to separate from him and than runs right back after he gets out, keeps calling her and giving her the "I'm sorry" sweet talk. I'm so scared for her and don't trust him at all.

All you can do is be her friend. My best friend was upset with me for taking my ex back numerous times. When she finally does leave, support her in every way you can. Go to court with her, help her in any way you can help even if it is just holding her hand and telling her it will all be okay. She will need tons of friends when she finally chooses to stop the abuse.

When she asks for advice and help you can provide it, but not before, and hopefully this will not be before she or her child are seriously injured.

You are right not to trust this man, and it's good that the police know about his behaviour, but until your friend asks for your help, there really isn't anything you can do other than occasionally phone her to reassure her than you are still her friend and that she is not isolated, because he will probably try to keep her isolated.

Let her know you are there for her if she needs anything. Until she realizes what type of relationship she is in, you really can't do anything.
