It's SciFi all the way for me:
Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Kyle XY, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Star Trek, Stargate, Firefly, The 4400, The Outer Limits.
Sometimes I watch documentaries (though never, ever current affairs or politics - eeww). I loved "How Music Works" on channel 4 a while ago, also things on the Animal Planet channel, astronomy programmes, Horizon.
