Which show is better, South Park Or Family Guy?

every one says family guy , but south park has them beat ( not by much ) . They have the type of humor ( most of the time ) that has intelligence behind it .

Wow, I am impressed with Jasmine's (above) answer. She said it all! SOUTH PARK is definitely the best.

I have watched both, and I really don't think that Family Guy is all that funny. South Park, on the other hand, is HILARIOUS. BUT, I will say this, that the majority of people either like one or the other, not both. So I think that it depends on the type of humor you like. South Park, for example, rips on pretty much any current events or famous names. Note, they do rip on EVERYONE at some point, in effort to encourage us not to take life so dang seriously! The creators, Stone & Parker, generally don't reveal their own take on a particular situation, person, religion, political party, etc, they merely bring it to your attention in a humorous fashion (kind of like The Daily show or Colbert Report). However, if you are offended by there take, you may not like South Park.

From what I've seen of it, Family Guy tends to have a bit more obvious, slap stick humor. It doesn't seem to pertain to a particular thing going on in real life, just makes the viewer laugh at its own silly world.

I will admit that the first two seasons of Family Guy are actually pretty good, but after that it is just stupidness.

All Family Guy is is a butch of random stuff happening often for no reason what so ever.

Which is fine every now and then but they have a bit they have done over and over again which is called "Peter vs. the Giant Chicken" which is just Peter (the main character) fighting a Giant Chicken. The first time they did it, it was funny for about 30 seconds, but the thing goes on for about 3 to 5 minutes. Just the two of them punching each other, it's suppose to be funny just because he is fighting a Giant Chicken. But even if you are dumb enough to like Peter fighting a chicken for 5 minutes, they have done it at least 3 other times, just the two of them fighting for 5 minutes.

They have stuff like this all the time too. I will admit once in awhile they will have something that is actually funny, but mostly it is just random gags that people laugh at because they put two stupid things together.

south park! (yay to everyone who said south park) yeah i watched family guy when it first aired on fox and then on adult swim. it was ok but it got so bad since it got picked up. family guy has no strikingly funny jokes or whatever. south park on the other hand is freakin genius. best episode ever was the scientology episode. it made cnn where they actually counted how many times they made a reference about tom cruise being gay (i think it was 41). family guy is ok if you like penis jokes or think the word 'poop' is hilarious. oh and south park also wins because of the 'cartoon wars' episodes where they based family guy. if you want to watch family guy though, make sure that you watch the first 3 seasons and not the new ones. there are a few funny parts but eh.....funniest south park seasons are definately 6,8,9 and 10.

While both are funny South Park has produced more really funny A+ episodes. South Park seems to be kicking out better and better material, while Family Guy's just haven't been.

Well that depends..If you don't mind a whole LOT of bad language and kids acting like idiots watch South Park..family guy is a great show..I'd allow my kids to watch Family Guy, but I'd never think of letting them watch South Park..

Family Guy is better. I don't like South Park, and at first I didn't like Family Guy, but that was just because of its reputation. Now there's hardly a show that doesn't make me laugh, and I watch it with my teenage boys. Check out the "Chumba Woomba Song" if you can!

I've been watching a lot of Family Guy lately and it has just went to hell. South Park, in my opinion is just a bit better, but the originals of both are equally good. I just think South Park has kept to it's roots of insulting disgusting humor.

Both are good. South Park is very outrageous and offensive and that's what keeps me watching, I want to see what they will do or say next. Family Guy is a tad more entertaining though.
