i have a usb port on my tv. my screen is messed up on my laptop. can i run a usb from my tv to my laptop and have the display from the laptop show up on my tv???

I'm not sure about connecting tv and laptop with usb, but you can connect them with a S video cable. You may have to adjust the display resolution on the computer if the display comes up too stretched.

I very much doubt it.
Without knowing what TV you have I can not say for certain, but I would suspect that the USB port on the TV is so you can view a slide show of pictures on a memory key.
Most laptops have a VGA output (15 pin blue connector) Check to see if your TV has a matching connector. If so you can use a standard VGA cable.
Some laptops have a S-Video out too. Most TVs will have a S-Video connector.
