You may as well tell them, they'll find out soon anyway. (I'm the father of 5 daughters, so I've been through this.) Plan your presentation of the problem. Let them know what is causing you to fail, if you know. Ask them if they can help. (Usually they can't, but this makes them more willing to forgive.) Get your paper signed, and meet with your teacher. You may need extra help in math, especially if you have a typical math textbook. I think they're poorly written by people who don't understand the language, just the math. Have some questions ready for your teacher. What don't you get? You need to start from the beginning so that you can think math correctly because it's cumulative. Try as hard as you can and remember that if you do your best, you earned what you get. How are your study habits? You should study for twenty minutes, take a short break, then resume by first reviewing what you just studied, then go on. Take notes and review them when you have a few minutes during the day. Practice, practice, practice--it will come easier that way, and practice makes perfect. Good luck, there are a lot of us pulling for you.

is this meeting to get help? If so, your parents should be glad of this, not mad.
I hate it when parents get mad at kids for failing if they try their best.
They should get mad, however, at kids who fail and don't care or don't try.
I don't know what to tell you I wish I could!
