I was 38 when my first was born and 42 when my third was born. The way I felt at the time was that if I was going to have a family I better get to it before I went through the change of life.

So we did have a difficult time at first. It turns out that we were trying too hard. We were trying every moring and every evening. We then discovered that it takes time for a mans sperm count to get up to workable content between love making sessions. My husband had talked to a friend at work who had 11 kids. He told him for me to mark the calendar on the first day of my period, then 21 days after that day begins 'pregnant week'. We were to make love with me on the bottom and he would stay there for a while afterwards to make sure the sperm got all the way in there. It takes at least 36 hours for a mans sperm count to get back up to working content. So during the 'pregnant week', we would only make love at least 36 hours apart. After we tried thus method, I got pregnant and it worked for the next 2 babies as well.

Hope this helps.

Go for what you know. A child is definately a blessing no matter what age. God was giving women in the bible days babies at 92. (not that I want to be pregnant and mothering at 92 LOL) My grandmother had her last child at 52 and so didn't my friends mother have her at 53. A lady in my choir had a daughter last year and she is in her 40's. I'm sure you'll be a great mother.

i think you should go for it. i think you would be a wonderful mom no matter what age. it dosn't matter what other people did. it's your own experions that counts. everyone has it diffrent. someone might feel tired and weak, the other might feel happy and purky. you never know untill you try.
