The light bulbs will be replaced by (of course) more expensive ones - claiming you would save money - though the energy prices will be raised and you definitely will pay more on electricity and the new bulbs (they burn out faster if you turn them on and off for like entering and leaving a room - so you need to leave them burning -actually waisting the supposedly saved energy)

The US Dollar will be replaced by the "Amero" actually making your savings be worth less and weakening your very own constitutional rights.

Sounds as though you feel your intelligence has been insulted and I think you are right! I know why Bush approves of this kind of crap, but what is Congress thinking? How many enemies do we, the people, have in this administration? We, in California, have been snookered before by energy plants shut down for "repair and maintenance" that cost us plenty. It's getting scary!

First off, I don't use the money saving light bulb as they do not provide enough light for my eyes. I'll pay the energy bill instead of losing my sight. Second, after reading the the Amero is an opinon. You need to check your sources for validity.

Its about time, I've been using the new bulbs for many years and they do last a lot longer are more efficient and very happy the change is coming...also in the summer time when Iam using a lamp I don't get the heat from it...finally something going in the right direction..shop around. I get mine at home depot on sale and they are not that expensive.

The bulb thing is happening here in the UK too. The bigger issue tho for me is in being dictated to. Choice is being eliminated from our everyday lives, usually in the guise of "protecting" the planet. What utter rubbish in my opinion. At the end of the day all such issues have only two goals, money and control.

I have had CFLs for many years. They FAR outlast any incandescent bulb I have ever owned. The drop in my power bill was noticeable in the first month.

I am sorry that you have fallen trap to the biggest hoax ever pulled on the US public, the Amero. Your "reference" is an OPINION piece.

I don't think that just because they thought of a new idea they should force us to go along with it and spend even more money that we don't have. It wouldnt bother me if they keot at least half the normal lightbulbs and gave us a choice.
