For those who gave answers that we as a society are too obsessed with celebrities: why the hell are you in the CELEBRITY section of yahoo then? This section is for people who are interested in talking about celebrities. If you don't want to discuss that topic, then go elsewhere.

She clearly has little parental supervision or oversight, which isn't surprising given how Britney turned out. My guess is that the mom is living vicariously through her kids and is more of a "buddy" than a parent. Reminds me of Lindsay Lohans's mom.

Very sad as with all teen pregnancy children having children. However JLS is going to take responsibility for her actions and hopefully she will make a better mother then Brittany has been. I thought the Spears were strict Baptists or something, I guess it doesn’t always matter. The Hanson’s are supposedly strict devote Christians yet Taylor and Ike both knocked up their wife’s before they got married.
Its great she has money but that can come and go hopefully she is smart and makes an account for this baby for savings.
Lets remember she could have been on birthcontorl but as we all know no birthcontrol other then not having sex is 100% effective.

I think it's utterly ridiculous that in the 21st century people are being so outraged and judgemental as though they were stuck in 1957.
Don't you know MILLIONS of girls all over the world get pregnant when they are in their teens? But you don't see all this hang-wringing and stone throwing because of it! At least, she's in a position to financially care for the kid...compared to some girl living in the projects or something!
The interesting irony here? In a week, most of the world will be celebrating the birth of a person who was conceived over 2,000 years ago by a teenage girl who was not married when it happened! In fact, an ENTIRE religion is based on this "illegitimate" pregnancy...

Haha! That's a good one. Seriously, did she not ever hear about birth control? How irresponsible and stupid. Did you hear that Lynne Spears' (the mom's) book has been put on hold? I guess she can't very well dole out parenting advice now. I don't really blame the mom though. Jamie and Britney are both above the age of reason and should take responsibility for their own actions. What stupid girls they are!

I think that there are entirely too many judges in the general population. People are judging Jamie solely for the fact that she is the sister of Britney Spears who has made a very ugly name for herself in the tabloids. Teenagers get pregnant everyday and there's not much a parent can say or do to prevent their 16 year old child from having sex if this is their intention. It doesn't matter who your parents are, if someone feels the urge to have sex, no matter what age they are, it's going to happen. You can't lock them in the closet.
Edited to say: Hey..you can give me thumbs down all day long, I answered what I think. Let's all take a good long look in the mirror shall we before we jump to judge someone we don't even know.

there are thousands of girls that get pregnant at 16 or even younger but america does not throw a big hissy fit about them. so 1 famous person gets pregnant at a young age big deal. stuff happens really. and has she not learned anything for britney? what is there to learn... shave your head to get publicity? Britney is NOT a role model. even her little sister does not need to look up to her. she would be better off living life her own way. and at least she does not plan on making this a publicity stunt she wants to settle down and take care of her newfound family. Do the responsible thing... Britney should be taking notes from her little sister.

Who would be surprised that she followed in the footsteps of her crazy sister. Maybe Mom should have spent less time writing books and more time paying attention to her daughters. One thing is for sure, a 16 year old pregnant girl does NOT belong on a TV program for children! To paraphrase Donald Trump...She's FIRED! (I expect to get thumbs downs by Britney fans! lol)

It's sad & it's something that she will have to learn to live with & deal with for the rest of her life. I just feel sorry for her & her family that are going through this. Why it happened to her, she only knows & that's a fact.

I think it was bound to happen seeing the famiy she comes from, but I always saw her as the good one I think she just got mixed up in the whole situation and let it get to her and now she is going to be a Mum @ 16.
