It's not worth it,life is rough but you have to be driven by suffering and use it as strength, dont let it run you or ruin you, down the road you have to look at the scars and be reminded of it,better to leave that in the past and live for now, keep your head up because you're not alone

Well, Its an addiction, and Its quite hard to control urges and anything that has to deal with it.
But the best possible thing, is keep sharp objects away, (example: my parents keep all the household knives in their room)
Try and Keep yourself occupied with either anything else that intersts you, or find another psyical outlet.
I cut crass, i do pushups, i hit a punching bag...
Theres things u can do, because when it comes to self mutilation, talking doesnt always help. But Constantly stay busy, and away from anything that u may be tempted by.
Thats what ive been doing and it seems to work...i dont talk to poeple about it usually, so physical activity is the one that works the best. Its been about 6 month for me...so i hope i helped. :)
Good Luck.

even although i don't have a great style of adventure with reducing addictions, it could look which you're controlling your "discomfort" by potential of enticing in this activity. the sentiments you get once you narrow back your self suppress your real thoughts. there's a great style of anger, discomfort, unhappiness or all 3 in you. reducing your self isn't coping, that's prolonging your plagued by those suppressed thoughts. you do not want to renowned what your feeling and until eventually you muster the braveness to stand that, you will proceed to harm your self. this is not needed, in spite of ways it would look to you presently. try writing in a flow of information. merely get a computer and a few pens and start to jot down. do not problem approximately spelling or sentences or perhaps making experience - merely write. in case you somewhat didn't want to deal with your thoughts, you does not be sending this style of sparkling message to your self with your habit. you will supply your self some clues in what you write.

Live outside yourself. You get so focused on your own misery and hatred you forget that theres a world out there full of people who's lives depend on who has interacted with them that day.
Everyone on the planet has problems, everyone is flucked up, everyone sucks, everyone is ugly, everyone is messed up. No problem is so unique that only you are suffering from it.
Get out and help other people, even if its just complimenting someone on their hair. You'd be surpised what it does for them, and how good it makes you feel.

Stop following the emo movement. Seek the attention you deserve in positive ways. Self-mutilation (genuine) occurs in a very small percentage of the population and is indicative of serious mental illess. If it's real, get to a hospital immediately. If it's not, knock it off. It's not cool and you look really stupid. If you don't know what to do with yourself and must imitate something, imitate something better, like Nobel prize winners.

they don't need advice, they need someone to listen and take the blade out of their hand, be there at 3am when they need someone.
and every cutter/burner/self harmer is genuine this label 'emo' is a burden! people brush off others now cause they're 'emo' but noone ever asks WHY ARE THEY 'EMO'. people don't seak attention if they don't need it.

Tell her that you care and don't like to see her hurt herself. If it's incredibly serious (well, scratch that. It's always serious. If you're majorly concerned), then tell someone. Other than that, just leave them alone. Your admonishments and backhand comments meant to make them feel better will probably hurt them worse.

Stop yourself or just control it...don't cut too deep or too much and give it time to heal. I'm not promoting cutting - although i'm an on and off cutter - but seriously, people get cut even if its not you doing it. sometimes you have to let your emotions out - cutting is a seminonviolent way of doing this.
