No, because they will continue cooking it and you will have to continue to eat it. Let them know what is missing or how they could improve it.

Yeah BQ, I can never forget that incident which occured in Bhuvaneshwar about 22yrs back.
We had been to that place with 3 of my husband's friend with their family.
One of my husband's friend's friend who had been in that place had invited us for dinner.
We all went to his house after going around seeing many places with real hunger round about 9p.m.
We all ate the food his wife had prepared. It was veg.fried rice & a veg fry as a side dish.
The first spoon of the rice I put in the mouth & I watched my other friend's wife & we all started seeing each other not willing to eat the next spoon.
The host asked us how was the rice.We all said it's very nice.
She said since she shouldn't take too much salt she had added very little salt in it.
We friends didn't tell anything & tasted the side dish which was another veg fry. That was awfully salty.I couldn't control my laugh & again started looking my friends & giggled each other.
Some how we managed to eat some of it & waited to have something nice.
Then she served a dessert, custard with fruits. That we all just gobbled & i asked for 2 3 serves. We thanked God atleast we had this tasty dessert.
Returning back home we all had fun talking about this.Still it's just in my memory.
So BQ thangai' you learned a tamil word for sister.Did Gentleman said to you or do you already know that word.?Any way nice to hear it no read it.

Yes
My father inlaw makes his hamber patties so thick that the hamburger was raw & cold in the center & near burt on the exterior.
I finished choking the burger down without saying anything since he bought all the guys folding multi ladders for x-mas.
I ate some chicken for my next serving of meat.
I consider myself lucky I didnt get sick from the raw beef.
I would have rather stayed home, saved $10 in gas & went to a local hamburger stand.

We had a family and friends gathering a couple of years ago, and my cousin was the host, she's a nice girl bless her but she can't cook to save her life (she thinks shes Delia smith).
Anyway we had a buffet of traditional food, i decided to have rice as i thought you cant make rice taste bad, big mistake! It was soo mushy and salty, the stew on top was burnt, basically it was not good. I persevered and ate half the plate but it was too much so when she want to change her sons nappy i ran to the kitchen and threw it away (as did a friend, she had been watching me to see if i would eat it, when i got up she followed straight to the kitchen) So she thinks i enjoyed but i went home hungry and ordered KFC!

No --- Usually the cook serves delicious meals. If there is a meal that does not turn out well, then it needs to be said (maybe not directly but as easily as possible).
Would you like to be served the same dinner next time or have it removed from the menu?

Yes, my mother made this awful Round Steak with Chili Gravy (more like plain stewed tomatoes) that always made me gag. I mean, the steak was cooked till it was a deathly shade of grey, and had the consistency of tomato-covered cardboard. My Dad loved it, so we had it every other week. %-O~

Well I ate jelly fish once at my girlfriends Dad's house. His wife is Chinese, and it is part of their culture I guess. I started eating it because my Mom taught me to try new things when presented with the oppotunity. I finished eating it out of respect for them. The texture was not something I cared for, but I ate it.

Of course. It's only polite. Especially if they made it for you. If you don't think they'll take offense, take a little bit and try it. And if you don't like it, let them know and why you don't like it. They'll appreciate that you tried it and they were honest with you. You don't want to get yourself into a bad situation and make them think you like it so you have to eat it again.

No if I don't want to eat something I don't. Honesty is better than lying even if their feelings are hurt. But blame it on something else like the ingrediants or oven
