3 weeks after knowing eachother, this girl and I became boyfriend and girlfriend, she wanted to have sex already but I refused to so I won't expose myself to STDs, I wanted to do a check before anything. Now on the 5th week we're not together anymore....I haven't had sex in 4 years and I'm 20 years old, should I had done it with her? I was trying to take it slow.

seriously wow i wish i had you for a boyfreind guys these days do not think about this i am proud of you and i don`t know you go figure.........i would havloved you more because you were thinking that way.at least the gurl should have realized you wouldn`t be the cheating type....so for her it was her loss. if she didn`t respect that too bad she wasn`t worth it...just to show that she maybe had std`s how do you know especially if she jumped that fast for you to have sex she does it with every guy she meet then......good for you stick to your guns.....by the way wanna marry me? smiling.

Well, I guess you can breathe a sigh of relief then since you are not together with her after only 5 weeks. Imagine if you had slept together and she left you anyway after 5 weeks. Be happy you waited. Nothing wrong with not sleeping around. Better off waiting to fall in love properly and you'll know the difference when the time comes.

You did the right thing. Take your time. There is nothing wrong with taking things slow. You avoid STDs, unwanted pregnancy and a whole host of other things. Actually, the best plan is to just wait until you are married. Then with your wife, you have the rest of your lives to get to know each other emotionally, spiritually, and sexually.

each girl is different if you go to fast sometimes she will run the other way. Depends on the girl I guess. Its good to take things slow sometimes. Some women prefer you to move quicker some like to take it in stages first.

what you did is mature and makes complete sense. it had only been 3 weeks, not 6 months while saying no to sex. in this day in age there is no way you can be sure about STD's so kudos to for trying to be safe. keep to your guns, it keeps yourself safe. GL.

I think you did not only the right thing, but the smart thing.
If she was that into you but didn't want to do a check (which she should wanted to do as well) it makes you wonder what she was hiding.
