solve for y n then plug it on the calc see where the intersect!!!
so the 2 equations will be

y=4/3x-44/3
n
y=-3-x

they intersect at
(5,-8)
so therefor x=5
y=-8

Each equation(linear) is a line. Hence find where this line intercepts both the axes. Then draw both lines, and see where they intersect. This point is the solution. Here is how it works.

for 4x=3y+44. put x=0 . implies y= -44/3
put y=0. implies x=44/4=11.
Hence mark (0, -44/3 ) and (11,0). join these points by straight line. Call it A.

for x+y=-3. put x=0 implies y=-3
put y=0 implies x=-3. Mark (0,-3) and (-3,0). Join these 2 points and call this line B.
Find the point where these lines intersect. The coordinates corresponding to this point is your solution.

See you.

Draw the graphs of both lines on the same piece of graph paper. The point at which they intersect will be the x and y coordinates of the solution to the system. You may find it useful to convert the equations into slope-intercept form before graphing.
