Well i have an identical twin so we share a birthday. she once told me not to buy her anything but she wouldn't tell me why. But when we woke up on our birthday she handed me a present and smiled back at me and i felt really bad because i HAD bought her one but i brought it back because she insisted she didn't want one.

She was really dissapointed when i told her so i rummaged through my pile of presents and gave her one of them and told her i was only joking. she was so happy it was worth it.

Don't put yourself in the situation i was in because her face when i told her was heartbreaking. It wouldn't hurt would it?

Good luck

Emily

It might mean that she doesn't mind either way, but would rather have you not feel obliged to buy a gift. It is always a nice gesture to buy one regardless.

It means she will then be obligated to buy you something for your birthday (and maybe she can't afford it).

It could mean she's testing you. If you don't, then you're a *****.

It could also mean that she's a minimalist and doesn't anymore crap from people.

Or, it could mean that she's depressed and merely saying things like that for attention.

How does she feel about Christmas?

That is tough. Buy her something small in case she expects it at the last minute

Don't buy her anything. I bet next year she doesn't say the same thing.
