I'm a d-back fan. I think the Haren trade was great, because we got him for the prospects we didn't need. I didn;t the valverde trade as much.

The Haren trade was great for Arizona. He gives them a true #2 starter to complement Brandon Webb, and is a huge boost to that staff.

I actually like the Valverde deal. It frees up some salary to take on Haren's contract, and I think Tony Pena is a younger, cheaper alternative who could turn into a good closer. Qualls actually has numbers very close to Valverde's, and he could close if needed too. It seemed like a strange deal on the surface, but it makes sense for a team trying to add an ace while keeping costs under control.

harden is a great pick up. he is under contract for 3 years and randy johnson coming back healthy is not a given. the valverde trade was done to save money in a couple of years when he goes to arbitration.

I think the guy is so overrated i mean he is only a few games over .500 in his career. So he started an all star game so what i think that between Santana and Bedard the was far below them.
