Obama & McCain will take over in the South. Clinton may not be able to be elected dog catcher in the future. Sadly she jumped the gun and should have stayed a JR Senator until such time as she has experience to lead. Not just bark orders and pass pork fat.

She does not need conservative support to win since they are only about 1/3 of the voters. No democrat can win the deep south. It takes 269 to win and Hillary has a lock on about 183 so she won't lose miserably. It will probably come down to OH NV NM IA NH like the last 2 elections. Hilary is more conservative than Obama or Edwards so on the issues she should be stronger in the general election. The fact that she is a woman will gain some voters and lose some voters. Very few people will admit to pollsters that gender will decide their vote so we will have to wait for the election to find out how important it will be and which way it will go. Experience has show that black candidates run about 5% lower than they poll, so I would be more worried about Obama having hidden negatives.

You're wrong abut one thing. Conservative women in the South (and I happen to be one) are not as gender biased as you might think. Among the women I know Hillary is either loved or hated. Those who love her think, for some inexplicable reason, that she is the smartest woman in the world. The ladies who like Hillary do seem excited that she is a woman running. The many more who hate her see her, as I do, for the crook she is. These women don't even mention Hillary's gender. And there are ALOT more of them.

Democrats dont do well in most southern states, and hillary wouldn't be the one to change that. That doesnt really matter, she'd do fine in the north and states like California and New York. The big question would be Ohio and PA. If she wins those two its over for who ever runs against her.

The south is a different country anyways. Those people down there I'm almost positive don't represent the views of the rest of the human race as it is.
But believe it or not there are the cities down there that are blue. Like every other city they are an oasis in an ocean of red.
so you might be surprised

Doesn't it depend on who her opponent is? There are several republicans running that could never beat Hillary Clinton in the midwest. Remember that Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois are in the midwest.

Another reason is in the deep south morals stand tall and a woman who is passive about an affair and public humiliation, is a woman whom we don't believe could battle some of the issues out there today without being passive with those as well.

Well, she won't win Arkansas, because she sold them down the river when she decided it would be cool to be a New York senator. She won't win the rest of the south for reasons such as she supports abortion and condones adultery.

Red staters are totally oblivious of what will be good for the country anyhow.
That's how Bush received two terms......luckily, few wised up and shut down the Republican controlled Congress, so George actually has to do some type of work. (Veto)
