i started having sex at 19. i was happy with my decision to wait because i ended up marrying my first! my aunt has found out that her twins 16, are having sex now and neither are really taking using protection seriously. i feel that teens are starting so young now and finding people like jamie lynn spears pregnant worries me. why is it so popular to start early. isn't that disrespecting your body in a way? why not wait until you find someone you truly love. even if it's at 16, fine. but take responsibility and protect yourself. 16 is too young to become a mommy. i am not dissing anyone who has started young and is a mom now. my aunt was 13 when she became pregnant. she's now 19 and has two and both are healthy and happy babies. i by no means am trying to offend anyone. i guess i'm trying to understand why it's the "cool thing".

I started having sex last year, at 14. I'm 15 and pregnant, and every day I regret the decisions I've made regarding my body. But for me, it wasn't the "cool" or "right " thing to do, it was my life. I've been a prostitute and only recently got out of that lifestyle. I think that some girls just feel like they can't be respected or get respect if they don't give it up. Also, if a girl has a troubled childhood or just going through a hard time, she's more likely to turn to guys to "help" her.

I'm sorry to rant and tell a novel, but my story can be a guideline to any young girl who thinks about getting into that.
DON'T DO IT!!! It'll mess up your life!!

Hope that helps....

I lost my virginity at 13, which was way too young. I was mildly sexually active throughout my teens. When I think of the ppl I had sex with and the relationships I had, I think I would have been ready at 15.

When I was younger, I always used protection. I went on birth control at 16 because I was in a serious relationship that lasted from 15-19.

I'm 23 now. I just had my first child 2 months ago with my husband. I'm so grateful that I didn't have an OOPS pregnancy and was able to plan my conception with my soulmate. We've been together for 3 1/2 years (married 2 years.)

Ok. So here is the thing, I have never had sex. I am now 15. I don`t plan on having sex until I am married. If I get married at 18 I will have sex at 18, if i get married at 60, (I hope i find true love before then) I will have sex when i am 60. I really don`t understand why people think it is "Cool" to have sex.

Same here, started at 19 and also married my first.
I believe some people start younger because they had the chance to experience dating/relationships, it becomes puppy love, they get too comfortable and it happens. During my school years finding love wasn't important to me, besides at the time I made a pact with my parents that I wouldn't have a boyfriend until I graduated High School. I understood their point of views and respected them for it.

I hope to do the same with my own children, and I hope they agree with me and respect my decisions.

I was very young when I started having sex, but I always thought "sex" could buy happiness and so could drugs, etc.
I became pregnant when I was 15, I'm 16 now and had the baby in Nov. I gave him up for adoption since I wasn't stable to take care of a baby at this point in time in my life. I was with my ex for 3 years before I became pregnant, but he split on me.

I now am a Christian and live my life in a totally different way. I have been clean (drugs, drinking, etc.) for 6 months now. I am also going back to school and going to be going to college next fall.

I guess having sex is the "cool thing" now is because sometimes teens just want to feel loved (assuming from those who come from bad homes like myself) and want to fit in.... it's hard in this day an age to feel like you "belong" esp. when your in high school.

you gurls are saying that having sex at early age like its cool! ...I waited till i found a girl that cared for me enough to stick around, one thing lead to another, and i almost got her pregnant. I dont think that protection or Abstance is taught enough now a days. I dont want my best friend to follow in my shoes, but he already is, and almost got his girlfriend pregnant. He is only 16, and im 18 and my girlfriend is 25. Now i dont think Age is all that matters in todays standards but, The fact of the twin boys having sex without protection, They may not be mature enough or old enough to do it, but thats not the answer they're getting, because thier hormones are out of wack. I think that kids should be giving Condoms for free, stead of buying them, because most of guys have jobs can afford them, but the ones in the ghetto's and hood aint got much. I live in the ghetto and know what my friends are doing..And it sickins me to know that my other friend that is 4years younger then me go his gf pregnant. and he doesnt have a good job, hes floppin from house to house..I dont hate him for this because i could have been a better role model to him. I waited too, and well waiting doesnt get you places or build you up to be a better person. having Sex now, is making me mature faster. It rocks!

i was 17 and i still think that was a little too young. i do believe that teens are starting way too young but when you have people like jamie lynn spears getting pregnant so young it just confirms a belief to the teens that sex is "cool".

babies are maturing swifter(bodily) than they use to, yet i think of the project is society. maximum mom and dad do no longer computer screen what their teenagers watch on t.v. and a great style of t.v promotes intercourse. I nevertheless youthful(19) and that i've got not got teenagers, yet I team up staring at kin orientated shows that taught me what can happen in case you have intercourse so youthful. i did no longer want that form of existence so I chosen against having intercourse so youthful. If teenagers are that youthful having intercourse then it is going to be the mum and dad fault. I mean how and the place is a 11-12 going to have intercourse without the mum and dad understanding. mom and dad ought to get greater in contact of their teenagers existence mutually as their becoming up. while they turn 17-18 you won't be able to truly administration them anymore, yet they are going to continually bear in mind the training you taught them. I do a minimum of. it would desire to be ignore too simply by fact they might want the attention. yet that still makes it the confirm's fault. and the previous peer rigidity component is a competent reason too, simply by fact those days it is all teenagers communicate approximately and you do no longer want to sense omitted.

I was 16, three months before I turned 17. We all knew about Planned Parenthood and we all went there. There were times that I had unprotected sex but I was one of the lucky ones. Some of my friends were not. Two of them had babies when we were in 8th grade.
