If you have a collection of pictures of your family, create a video (CD) to music, with maybe a poem thanking her for what a special, caring Mom she's been. You could make it funny if you'd like in certain places. Since you are so young, there's likely to be a heavy arsenal of videos of your Mom and your family together. Very inexpensive, but time intensive. Your whole family will like it. Check with Grandmas, close friends or other family members for treasures to include. You seem pretty computer savvy, sounds like a blast, keep up with your studies! A special other inexpensive thing you could give her would be a picture, one of your favorites from what you found, and frame it. Caption it perhaps? But there are other creative things you could do. Or, make it black and white and sort of whistful. If she has an office or desk, she'll beam whenever she sees it and when others comment on it, it will make her swell with pride at how sweet her wonderful, thoughtful child is growing up to be someone really special. Ideally, the present would be a CD and a framed picture. Just thinking, hope it ignites some ideas for you.

If you can do the sculpture, then do a moose or deer. The moose would be great. You could even put a tag on it and name it Chris.
Chris Moose.
Bad joke.
The sculpture sounds great if you have time. It would be something from your hands and heart.
