Evening all i recieved a security warning today issued by london ambulance service of recent activities in their area
The below behaviour is uncommon but greater manchester police have described it as a potential
The street gangs in london (particulary south london)
have initiation tasks which have to be carried out in order to be part of the gang
The latest craze is to drive around deliberately with no lights on their cars
The first person who flashes them points or sound their horns at them has to be followed by the new gang member in their car who then has to fire a shot into that vehicle with no regards as to who is inside
Official instructions are to ignore any vehicle you see without lights
This is a serious issue
Please pass this info on to all you know as it may save a life

Can i add this is far from an urban legend as this document was issued at a core team brief for the nhs
This is a serious matter and that is why i posted it to serve as a warning
the nhs .. gmp and the london ambulance service have taken this seriously

I also have heard of this and I also live in south east London.
Apparently its to get a new member into the gangs.
Which I find dump, stupid and dangerous imagine if one their relative were in that car that had flash them they may or may not aim to kill, who knows but it still can cause an accident.
Is this what people are willing to do just to be in a gang. what is the gang paying bills etc.
Most peopl have said its urban myths but arent these urban myth being carried out. there are some stupid crazy people that hear about myths or watch movies and want to play it out in real life.

I think this may be an urban legend...I work within the NHS and have not had this info in any of the core briefs I have received. Let's hope it is just a legend.

This is an urban legend and has been around for years.
It varies the occupants of the darkened car either run the other car off the road or they shoot them.

become a vigilante and shoot or stab or run down or set alight any yob u see
wait till they start going home pick of one at a time as many nites as poss different area and time each nite
eye for an eye
fight fire with fire
the law is useless
become ur own judge and jury

These people who do these things to join these gangs...
its a bit stupid!!!
I mean, what..... does it make them tough to be in a group of people who are also only there because they cant look after themsleves!!!
I mean in chesham once there was a group of people who were bullied alot and had had enough so they formed a huge gang to look out for each other..... fair enough.......NO!!!!
they ended up being out of order, when one person had had enough of them terrorising people he stood up to two of them on their own and then all of them turned up, beat him senseless and one hit him in the head with a baseball bat, which killed him.
All gangs are is a group of people who have trouble looking after themselves in my view, fair enough if they arent hurting anyone who hasnt done anything wrong, but its when they get out of order and start terrorising people, buying guns and killing people that it gets really stupid.

Urban legend. I literally heard this when i was about 10 years old (12 years ago) and believed it then. I don't now. They say the same thing in the US, and probably Canada and Mexico and Italy as well. Get my drift?
I think it all started from some chain letter.

This is an old urban legend
but it happens all the time where I live, ive seen 2 accidents now as a result of this
obviously the story differs though, the lot that Ive seen don't fire shots they drive so close to the car that they practically touch bumpers, them they try to drive the car off the road
