Why are you assuming that it's true? There are two reasons to be skeptical, if you're looking at the situation objectively. First, someone else is claiming to be the father of the baby. In fact even the woman is claiming that. Second, if she is 6 months pregnant then in order for it to be Edwards he would have had to been engaged in an extra marital affair after he was well into his presidential campaign. Does it make sense that someone who has been involved in politics as long as Edwards has, who has already run 2 national campaigns, would allow himself to be caught up in a situation like that? He knows how vicious the republicans can and would be.

I hope that it's true about him having an illegitimate child b/c frankly I could care less about him.He just seems so fake and his only defense/offense is to attack Hillary.I mean it's politics but still.Too though, you have to consider the source of this whole thing, but more than likely the whole things true.Don't get me wrong I'd much rather have John Edwards than ANY repulican.UGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Well, if a coke head can get elected, why not a philanderer. Oh, yeah that's right Bush wasn't really elected, he was appointed by the supreme court. I guess since Edwards isn't really part of a dynasty he probably won't.

WHY did you selectively select your quote? the article goes on to read:
Rielle said: "The fact that I am expecting a child is my personal and private business. This has no relationship to nor does it involve John Edwards in any way. Andrew Young is the father of my unborn child."

Ah the good ole' national enquirer. Good times while your in line at walmart; who's pregnant, who's partying, who is going to rehab. Good times.
I think that if he did have kids out of wedlock that someone other than the Nat'l enquirer would be covering it.

If it turns out she is carrying an alien love child conceived during a threesome with Edwards while being videotaped by a Transvestite, then he will be worshiped by the Liberals!
Liberals could care less for family men.

I'll believe it when I read it somewhere other than the National Enquirer and some evidence is provided.

I think it makes him look more human. If Edwards was a little less fake, he'd be a lock for the Pres.

You've gotten to the point at which you are actually referencing the Enquirer. Besides, even if it's true, don't liberals love sex outside of marriage? Isn't it natural?
