Have you ever noticed that the older you get, the harder it is to just be happy for no reason at all, but just happy with everything. From what I have noticed, little kids are happy the most, it doens't take much, and they can be happy for no reason at all. Don't you wish it was as easy to be happy as it was when you were a kid?

yes, definitely. But i think that we all live far more stressful lives than we used to, a lot of the time we worry without even realising were doing it. I love smiling & feeling happy. Have you ever noticed how infectious a smile is? x

You're right children can be happy with the simplest of things. But I now have an 8 year old in my home (after raising three children) and also notice how often they get upset over nothing. So, it's a double-edged sword.
Maturity is really a gift if you let it be. At least, it has been with me.

It's all a state of mind bro,if your content with life you'll be happy.Responsibilies, bills, all work & no play makes it difficult to be happy all the time but they all come with age!
It gets better, just keep telling yourself that, and enjoy the Holidays and spread smiles.Usually when you make others happy you feel happy too!

I was a brooding kid... But yeah I wish I could just be happy. For some reason, though, life kinda gets me down.

I know what you're saying. Responsibilities, worries, things beyond our control, lack of money, lack of time -these tings tend to take the fun out of life.
I look at my kids (they're 6 & 4) and they are happy almost all the time for almost any reason....
If they're happy I'm happy!

Sometimes I feel this way too. However, I think it gets easier as you get older. I know this guy at work who has been happily married for 40(?) years and loves life. He doesn't love his job, but he does like it and he says he lives for his weekends....and does stuff he really wants with his family then. My grandmother is another example. She's had many difficulties in life, but she seems genuinely content, without looking dumb for being happy and all that.
