Well both are bad but i would say having an ongoing affair would is worse.

they are both pretty bad in my opinion but an ongoing affair is worse for trust issues but a one night stand is worse for STD's

The affair would be worse, because if you bother seeing somebody regularly it means there's a feeling. As a wife, I could forgive a one night stand from my husband, but an affair would be harder, if not impossible!

I would say an on going affair. Because you would keep on hurting the person that you were cheating on without regard. A one night stand shows more of a moment of weakness.

I guess an affair...because an affair usually means you have developed feelings for someone that is unavailable. One night stands with an unavailable person is bad too, but not as bad as getting attached to him/her.
