I have a 2002 VW Jetta 1.8 T. I drove last night to the store...everything was fine! This mornig I try to start my car to go to work, it was making the "starting noise" but wouldn't start to save my life! It wasn't the battery. That's fairly new. My lights and radio came on just fine! What could it be!? Someone said something about a fuel something or another.....I'm a single mother I NEED ANSWERS so I dont get ripped off at the shops...If you need futher info as to how it was acting this morning, please email me at traci@cagefreecanines.com.

WHEN YOU SAY STARTING NOISE-----YOU DO MEAN SPINNING OVER RIGHT ? GET A CAN OF EITHER (STARTING FLUID ) AND REMOVE THE AIR CLEANER TOP AND SHOOT IN A 1/2 - 1 SECOND BLAST , PUT THE COVER BACK ON AND TRY IT . USING THE EDIT FOR ADD. INFO LET ME KNOW HOW IT DOES --------WHEN YOU DO TRY IT , POST THE RESULTS AND I'LL CHECK BACK AT AROUND THAT TIME WHICH IS TWO HOURS LATTER ( C.S.T. )

Really Cold Weather there Now? Car is Parked Inside? Fuel Lines Could Be Frozen! At a Good Parts Store they sell Fuel Treatment with a Compound that Helps Keep Fuel From Freezing in the Lines. When is the Last time you Changed the Fuel Filter? If More then 10 Months Think about Replacing it.

Good Luck!

First of all, let me compliment you on your choice of autos!!!! If you don't know about it there is an extended warranty available for this model.. Anyway, back to your problem. You made no mention of the mileage on this car. Worst case scenario, the timing belt broke. If your car is at 100,000 miles, it might be. For some reason that I don't totally understand, if a timing belt is going to break, it likes to do so when you are starting the car, not so much when your driving the car. Does the car sound a litlle funny when you turn it over??? Is it turning over faster than usual??? If you are lucky, it is just frozen fuel. You may have gotten a bad batch of gas. (try to stick with Mobil, if you can) . Check your fuel pump fuse in the fuse panel. I will E-mail you.
