The snows have their own set of rims

No, the last number is for the size of the wheel. You would be trying to put a 15inch tire on a 16inch wheel.

I wouldn't

If that car is available in some models with 15" rims they'll fit, but a 205/60 15 has an outside diameter of less than 25", and the 215/60 16 is greater than 26" (these vary somewhat depending on brand and model of tire). As a result, your speedometer and odometer will be off quite a lot, probably 6-8 %. Every 100 indicated miles you'd actually be traveling 93 give or take one.

My car came with 205/60 16, and some models have 15" rims so I knew the rim size wasn't an issue, so I got snows that are 195/70 15, which is about the same outside diameter (if you do the math)

Hope this helps!

You'll need to buy some 15 inch rims, if the 15' rims fit over the brakes you can use them, but I can't reccomend it. You lose a lot of load carrying capacity, the 15' tires can't carry the same amount of load as the 16' tires do, in some situations this can cause tire failure. Your safest bet is to keep the oe size on the car when possible.

Tromanh is right, the tires are not interchangeable. If you already have the tires, you might try a used tire shop and bargain for a trade to the proper size. Good luck with it.

No, one is a 15'' and the other is a 16'' wheel.
