There is never a right age or right time to have a child. Nor will you ever be financially ready so i say just do it and adapt.

There is no 'right age' really.
I'd recommend having a bit of a life first, like travelling, studying, working and earning some money.
I think 16 is too young because life has barely begun, but there are plenty of fantastic young mothers about. Jamie Lynn Spears has had quite a life already and she's got plenty of money but it doesn't necessarily mean she is emotionally equipped to become a mother.
I think 'too old' is when you can no longer have the stamina or fitness levels to keep up with your children, or won't be around to see them grow up.
At the end of the day, if fall pregnant naturally (ie without IVF) whether you are 16 or 60, nature has decreed that you are of the 'right age'; other factors obvioulsy excluded.

can i just say......here in the UK a lot of girls have babies when they are 16. anyone would think after how people have been talking today it was a crime.
the legal age to have sex here is 16....some 16 year olds are a lot more mature than use adults nowdays.
I have 2 kids, my eldest is 16, my youngest is 11 and im expecting my 3rd at the moment and i was very young also when i had my eldest.
I put my life on hold for my kids..... i didnt start going out with my friends until i was in my mid 20's and personally id rather be at home with my kids.
my eldest would rather have a good career than a family....yes she has a boyf they have promised to each other to stay virgins until they get married.
sounds like ive brought her up well doesnt it even though i was young when i had her.

Omg Jamie Lyns spears is pregnant at 16? waaaaay too young at that age you cant even take care of yourself fully so how are you supposed to care for a child. I think probably 30 is the right age.

I will be honest with you I was pg at 17. Not the right age i believe. I have four kids and im 31. Had my twins at 21 and my baby just 5 years ago. I would say have them young so when they are done growing you can enjoy life more. But not to young. Get your life situated if possible first. My husband is the baby of his family at 35. His mother is the same age as my grandmother and his oldest sister is the same age as my mom (49). I have talked to her about having kids and she tells me have them young. But not to young. Its pretty much you and your husbands choice. Again to be honest with you now that I have four girls I personally think I was to young. I know that I would be devistated if I was a grandmother at 35 years old with my daughter. Good Luck !!!!

The right age, or the right time? All children deserve to be brought into (and up in) a stable loving home, preferably with both parents. So age has little to do with it. Clearly under 16 is too young - the law says so - but I know folks who've had a family in their teens and they are superb parents with happy healthy children. Equally, there are a lot of 'mature' parents who mess up big time.

well i found out i was pregnant on my 18th birthday and had never even held a baby. 20 years on and my son is 6ft intelligent, funny, loyal and independent and does not take drugs, smoke or drink. we grew up together. most people assumed he was my baby brother! strangely they now think he's my boyfriend! there is never a right age. i never wanted children i always thought I'd adopt and give love to someone who already had life. but from the 1st time i felt him move i knew I'd do anything and everything to protect him. still would.
most people who knew me assumed I'd get an abortion (which shows how little they knew me) but it never once occurred to me. it's not about your age, it's who you are. and how you cope and deal with life. and personally you are too old when mother nature says you are too old. i cant have anymore kids (cancer of the womb) he was my one and only chance. good thing all the people who knew me were totally wrong
love and laughter

Any time but make sure you can support the child financially.
Age wise after 18 but before 40.
